What is
?
TravelSwitch is a B2B and B2C reservation platform that allows OTA's, TMC's, Agencies and practically anyone that wants to sell travel to manage their business. Tasks such as booking flights, hotels and car rentals are accomplisged with ease using the proprietary AJAX based administration system. TravelSwitch allows for the management of your bookings, users, policies, products, credentials and content from a single system.
What makes TravelSwitch different?
There are many core pieces of functionality that makes the TravelSwitch platform unique. First and foremost is its configurability. Empowering our customers is our primary focus so pretty much everything you see in the administration system is configurable to a certain extent.
Want to change the culture and language of a users experience? Do you require the ability to clone an agency, it's users, it's markup layers, it's configuration settings and imagery? If these are some of the things you look for in a booking engine platform then look no further than TravelSwitch.
We allow for the administration and configuration of all providers used in your platform. If you have direct negotiating power with some vendors of choice and have your own negotiated rate codes you can plug these in seemlessly.
What can i sell through TravelSwitch?
TravelSwitch is based on a simple principle which is to enable our customers to sell everything and anything related to travel. Our core product categories include Air, Hotel, Car, Airport parking, Insurance, Show-time tickets and vacations. Want to sell a snowboard to someone purchasing a ski vacation to Whistler? How about a travel guide for first time travelers to Fiji? TravelSwitch can make it all feasible.
Within each product category lie an abundance of the world's top providers of travel. We partner with companies that provide great value in their offering and who more importantly allow our customers to benefit greatly in the sale of their offerings. TravelSwitch's provider management system and message configurator empowers customers to negotiate with providers directly allowing them to focus on what is important and that is selling travel.
Customers who currently use our hotel management system HoteliSense have the option of distributing their content through the network via OpenDistribution and TravelSwitch as an additional distribution channel. This means more visibility of your offering and the ability to network and negotiate with our partners.
TravelSwitch's configurability around managing providers allows for agencies to target specific providers to a geographic region, country and even city. This saves unecessary overhead if you are working with a provider that only caters to a specific region of the world.

Why choose TravelSwitch?
Based on OpenDistribution API
The TravelSwitch B2B and B2C reservation platform is based on OpenDistribution,
a proprietary travel API that connects customers to some of the world's leading suppliers
of travel inventory. The OpenDistribution platform is based on CTF (Common Travel Framework)
which allows us to distribute travel content in a clear and transparent manner.
Unlimited number of agencies and web sites.
Create and configure an agency in TravelSwitch and then use our replication wizards to clone
it as many times as you see fit. We even allow for existing users to be copied over to
a new agency. Don't remember what you changed in a particular agency? Re-apply a parent agency's
configuration as and when needed to any agency in your chain.
Configurability
TravelSwitch is highly configurable. Configure providers, markups, agencies, policies, users,
user interface, checkout parameters, custom content, credentials, access points and thresholds
to name but a few from a single administration system.
Various different hosting models
Our philosophy is that clientle should be the people to decide how TravelSwitch is deployed which
is why we offer hosted and self hosted versions of the platform.
TravelSwitch API
Unlike other solutions in the market place today developers will have the ability to build custom
controls using the TravelSwitch API. Do you want the ability to develop your own controls to summarize user or reservation data?
Feel like building your own reporting toolkit? The possibilities are endless.
X-Tier markup engine
Markup management should be an agencies primary tool and is something that has been overlooked so far.
The lack of control over markup prompted us to build X-Tier, a micro management markup tool. X-Tier allows for the
marking up of products globally and or provider specifically. We even go one step further by allowing agencies to
markup specific carriers, types of rooms, products featured in a specific geographic area or even products in all
categories from all providers.
Role based user management
TravelSwitch is based upon a role management system. In any organization each employee performs a certain role.
Whether they may be accountants or content uploaders or travel agents, they have specific duties. TravelSwitch
adopts the same mentality. Every user in the system belongs to a user group that inherits a particular policy.
e.g. (User) John Smith > (User Group) Content Uploaders > (Policy) Web site and content management policy. A
policy dictates what a user is allowed to view and what in turn is restricted. This model allows administrators
to determine what is sensitive content and decide whether particular controls are something that need to be seen
or not. Policies can be edited on the fly by an administrator as they browse the system with handy module menu's
that are planted as part of every control in the system.
